QA Technical Specialist

The QA Specialist will be responsible for defining and implementing tests plans to ensure the robustness and integrity of the Company’s key products. This includes the usability of our client facing technology. The ideal candidate for this position has 5+ years of commercial software QA experience.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to ensure the quality of Integrity’s web-based enterprise software application to assure that developed products meet content and functional specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Hands-on QA work is a significant component of this position. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work in a collaborative fashion with Development and Product Management teams;
- Review specification documents for completeness and end-user perspective;
- Provide time estimates for quality assurance of prospective projects;
- Create and maintain detailed test plans for Integrity products and execute manual test plan, analysis, and reporting of test results;
- Manual black box and white box testing of Integrity products;
- Suggest new tools and process changes to improve the quality of Integrity’s products and the speed of delivery;
- Work with Development team to improve existing automated test process and implement automated QA tools to improve the efficiency and coverage of testing; and
- Additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
This position requires hands-on QA experience, as well as project management and organizational skills. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in related area of study and minimum of five years experience in a quality assurance environment. The successful candidate will have the following skills:
- Critical attention to detail is a must; ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in tight timeframes is required;
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required; must be able to effectively communicate with technical and nontechnical team members;
- Knowledge of various testing techniques, approaches, and best practices, including test case authoring, bug tracking, test case management, and source control systems;
- Familiarity with Gemini and Subversion is preferred, but not required;
- Web and tech savvy with the ability to write SQL queries, especially using T-SQL;
- XML expertise and experience with e-Commerce and localization projects, as well as application load and performance testing are all preferred, but not required, skills;
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, small-team environment with the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with others as part of a cross-functional team; and
- Understand and support the Company’s goals, business, and values.

Reporting:
Will report to the Vice President, Quality Assurance and will work closely with all members of the QA, Development, and Product Management teams and others throughout the Company as needed.
Location:
Waltham, Massachusetts or Avon, Connecticut; telecommuting is not an option. Please note that if this position is located in Avon, initially there will be a 2 – 3 day a week requirement to be present in the Waltham office.
Compensation and Benefits:
